Sylvain Mancuso

Sylvain became interested in osteopathy after beginning his practice in physiotherapy. He completed his physiotherapy studies in Paris, graduating in 2001, and began working in a private clinic, where he treated many different types of patients and conditions.

His first post-graduate course focused on neurological issues in infants after delivery, driven by his interest in child development and helping young children. After a few months of practice, he felt limited by his knowledge and decided to learn more techniques, starting with a manual therapy course to give him more tools to help patients and become a better therapist.

That course showed him that a patient is never just a knee or a back issue. Every condition sits within the whole person, and the body is an incredible factory of compensation. Treating the pain alone is sometimes not enough to bring a patient back to good health.

Sylvain then completed a five-year part-time osteopathy program in France while continuing his physiotherapy practice, which allowed him to apply what he was learning and change the way he looked at each patient.

He graduated in 2011 and moved to Moncton with his young family. He has been practicing in the Greater Moncton area ever since.
